I acknowledge that I engage in the practice of soul-work on the traditional, unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg People. I am engaged in the continual practice of learning what is mine to do — including grief-work and devotion to ancestral healing as a way of life.

I work from an archetypal lens — which means I'm less interested in fixing you and more interested in understanding the shape of the story you're living, and what it's asking of you next.

My clinical training draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, somatic theory, relational psychology, self-compassion practices, and transpersonal psychology, alongside foundational talk therapy. Underneath all of it is a belief that the psychological and the spiritual aren't separate projects — in fact, I've found that unexamined psychological material is very often the exact thing standing between a person and the spiritual life they're reaching for. Untangle the one, and the other tends to open on its own.

Alongside my clinical training, I'm trained in Evolutionary Astrology, Tarot, and Cards of Truth, and I'm currently deepening my study of Tropical Vedic Astrology. These aren't sidelines — they're part of the same practice, offered when they're useful and never required.

I specialize in offering spiritual solutions to life's problems — not spiritual bypass, but genuine engagement with the questions that talk therapy alone sometimes can't reach: Who am I becoming? What is this pattern actually for? What part of me is ready to stop repeating this story?

About

The Brass Bird is named in honour of my maternal lineage — a long line of stubborn, resilient Cree/Métis women, forged in the conflicts of the North-West Rebellion. This story could be said to begin with Betsey Brass, and carries forward through many generations, including the Bird surname, down to me. With my work, I aim to make them proud.

If you've felt that pull — toward the archetypal, the symbolic, the sense that your life is part of a larger unfolding — you're in the right place.
